*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Cemi River, known as Cijevna in Montenegro, flows through the central part of the country near Podgorica before joining the Morača River. Originating in the Albanian Alps, it carries clear, cool mountain water through deep canyons and limestone valleys. Due to its mountainous source, the river’s temperature remains relatively low for most of the year. In spring, it ranges from 8 to 13 °C, while in summer it warms to 17–22 °C, occasionally reaching 23 °C in calm, shallow areas near Podgorica. During autumn, the temperature drops to 12–16 °C, and in winter it falls below 6 °C. The Cemi is known for its clean, turquoise water and striking natural scenery.
Swimming in the Cemi River is possible and popular during the summer months, especially in the scenic canyon areas near the village of Dinosha and the waterfalls close to Podgorica. The water is refreshingly cool, offering an ideal escape from the summer heat, though its temperature may feel cold to some swimmers. Because of strong currents and rocky sections, caution is advised, but in calmer pools swimming is safe and enjoyable. The Cemi remains one of Montenegro’s most picturesque rivers, attracting nature lovers, swimmers, and photographers alike.
