*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Erenik River (Ереник, Lumi i Erenikut) flows through western Kosovo, originating in the highlands of the Accursed Mountains near Junik and joining the White Drin near Gjakova. As a mountain-fed river, its water is clear, cool, and fast-flowing, particularly in its upper sections. The temperature remains low for most of the year, averaging 2–4 °C in winter, 8–12 °C in spring, and reaching 18–21 °C during the warmest months of July and August. In autumn, it gradually cools back to 10–12 °C. The river’s temperature and flow are strongly influenced by snowmelt and rainfall, giving it a refreshing but brisk character even in summer.
Swimming in the Erenik River is possible but limited to calmer sections, mostly near rural areas where the current slows. During the hot season, locals sometimes bathe or wade in the water to cool off, though it rarely becomes warm enough for extended swimming. The upper mountain parts are too cold and swift, making them more suitable for fishing and nature walks than bathing. The Erenik is appreciated for its purity and picturesque valleys rather than as a swimming destination, offering scenic beauty and tranquility typical of western Kosovo’s rivers.
