*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Morača River is a major watercourse in Montenegro, famed for its breathtaking canyon in the upper reaches and its passage through the capital, Podgorica. In the city area, especially at popular spots like Galeb beach, swimming is commonly practiced and allowed by locals during the hot summer months as a way to find relief from the extreme heat. However, swimmers must be aware of the fast currents and varying depths, making it an activity suited mostly for experienced swimmers.
Due to its mountainous source, the Morača remains characteristically cold throughout the year. In winter, from November to April, the water temperature is consistently low, often falling between 6∘C and 10∘C, which makes swimming dangerous and primarily restricted to traditional events like Epiphany. Only in mid-summer, specifically July and August, does the temperature rise enough for comfortable immersion, reaching a maximum of around 19∘C to 24∘C in the calmer, lower sections near Podgorica.
