Due to its status as a municipal beach, it undergoes regular water quality checks and is equipped for comfortable summer recreation. As with other freshwater reservoirs in the capital, the swimming season here usually begins when the water temperature consistently exceeds +17∘C, which typically occurs in Kyiv in late May or early June.
During the hottest summer months, particularly in July and August, the water in Tel'bin warms up well and can reach the optimal temperature for prolonged swimming, ranging between +22 and +24∘C.
