Sribnyi Kil Lake, located in the Pozniaky district of Kyiv, is one of the city’s most popular recreational lakes. It is a relatively clean urban lake, with clear water that warms up fairly quickly in late spring thanks to its moderate depth. During summer, water temperatures usually reach around 22–26°C, making it comfortable for swimming, especially in July and August. The lake’s location near residential areas makes it a favorite spot for locals seeking a short escape from the city’s heat.
Swimming here is generally pleasant, as the water quality is regularly monitored and there are designated swimming zones with sandy or grassy shores. The lake also has areas suitable for sunbathing, casual picnics, and stand-up paddleboarding. However, after heavy rains or during colder months, the water may become less clear, and swimming is not recommended outside the warm season.
