Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Kyrylivske Lake, located in Kyiv, is part of a larger system of lakes in the Obolon district and plays an important role in the city's infrastructure, specifically as an element of the storm drain system. Due to this function, its purpose generally does not include organized mass swimming, despite the fact that surrounding areas may be equipped for recreation and sunbathing. Like most urban lakes, the water temperature in Kyrylivske in summer depends on the weather: during the peak season (July-August), it can reach a comfortable +22 to +24∘C for swimming. The swimming season in Kyiv typically begins when the water consistently warms above +18∘C.
However, given its functional purpose, swimming in Kyrylivske Lake is not recommended and is not provided for by the city authorities. It is part of an open drainage and sewage system that receives rainwater. This makes it potentially unsafe from a sanitary perspective and concerning regarding water quality. Therefore, although it is physically possible to enter the water, doing so is at one's own risk, and the official infrastructure around the lake is focused on picnicking, sunbathing, and sports recreation, rather than swimming.
