Yeryk Lake, located in Kyiv’s Obolon district near the Dnipro River, is a small urban lake surrounded by green areas and residential buildings. The lake is relatively shallow, which allows the water to warm up quickly during the summer months. By mid-summer, the water temperature usually reaches around 23–27°C, making it pleasant for short swims or simply cooling off on a hot day. The calm surface and lack of strong currents make Yeryk Lake suitable for families and casual swimmers.
However, as with many small city lakes, swimming conditions can vary depending on weather and maintenance. During long dry periods, the water may become less clear, while after rainfall it can be refreshed and cooler. There are several informal spots along the shore where locals enter the water, but the lake is more often used for relaxation, sunbathing, and short dips rather than extended swimming.
