*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Aleksandrovac Lake, or Aleksandrovačko Jezero, is a small, shallow, man-made micro-accumulation in Serbia. Due to its morphological characteristics and the high level of biogenic salts, the lake has historically been prone to significant issues with cyanobacterial blooms, which can pose a health risk. Consequently, swimming is often discouraged or even prohibited to safeguard public health, particularly during periods of poor water quality. Recreational use around the lake is usually limited to fishing or enjoying the surrounding nature, with official swimming focused on other, more suitable, monitored water bodies in the region.
The water temperature in this shallow lake shows extreme variations, influenced heavily by air temperature. During the cold season, from approximately November to March, the lake is likely to be frozen or near-freezing, with water temperatures ranging from about 0∘C to 5∘C. However, due to its low depth, it warms up dramatically in the summer. During the hottest months, particularly July and August, the surface water can reach very high temperatures, typically ranging from 26∘C to 30∘C, with historical measurements of up to 34∘C. These high temperatures exacerbate the water quality issues, reinforcing the need for swimming restrictions.
