*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Uvac River, primarily known for its stunning meanders and canyon within the Special Nature Reserve in Serbia, forms part of the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. The river itself is mostly part of a cascade of three artificial lakes: Uvac (Sjeničko), Zlatar, and Radoinja. Swimming opportunities are present, mainly in the lakes, where it is generally permitted at informal spots. However, due to the Uvac area being a strictly protected natural reserve, visitors must adhere to the reserve's rules, which prioritize conservation over large-scale, unregulated recreational activities.
As the Uvac River and its lakes are situated in a high-altitude mountain region, the water remains notably cold throughout the year. During the winter, from roughly December to February, the river and lake water is very cold, with temperatures dropping to between 3∘C and 6∘C. The warmest period for the lake surface is the peak of summer, specifically July and August, when temperatures may reach the range of 15∘C to 17∘C in the upper layer, making it suitable only for hardy swimmers and a brief, refreshing dip.
