*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Llapi River (Лаб, Lumi i Llapit) flows through northeastern Kosovo, beginning in the mountains near Podujevë and continuing southward toward the Sitnica River. It is a medium-sized river with a mix of mountain and lowland features, providing fresh but relatively cool water throughout the year. In winter, the Llapi’s water temperature typically ranges between 2–5 °C, while in spring it rises to around 8–12 °C. During the summer months, temperatures can reach 20–23 °C in calmer sections, especially near lowland areas, making it pleasant for wading or short swims. In autumn, the water cools again to about 10–12 °C as the air temperature drops.
Swimming in the Llapi River is possible in certain parts, particularly in the rural stretches where the current is mild and the water is cleaner. However, it is not officially organized or common due to variable depth, strong flow in places, and occasional pollution near urban zones. Locals often enjoy relaxing along its banks or cooling off in shallow sections during hot days. The river’s refreshing character and natural surroundings make it more suitable for brief recreation and nature activities than for extended swimming.
