** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Ibar River flows through southwestern and central Serbia, originating in the mountains near the border with Montenegro and joining the West Morava near Kraljevo. Because of its mountainous source and variable terrain, the river’s water remains relatively cool for most of the year. In spring, the temperature ranges between 9 and 14 °C, while in summer it warms to about 18–23 °C in calmer stretches. In autumn, it cools again to 12–17 °C, and in winter it often falls below 5 °C, with ice occasionally forming near the banks. The flow is moderate to fast, especially in the upper parts near Novi Pazar and Raška.
Swimming in the Ibar River is possible during the warmest months, mainly in July and August when the water is most comfortable. Locals sometimes swim in slower sections or near small beaches around Kraljevo and Raška. However, due to strong currents, uneven depths, and cooler temperatures, caution is necessary, and swimming is advised only in safe, calm areas. The river is better known for rafting, kayaking, and fishing. Its clear water and scenic valleys make it one of the most attractive rivers for outdoor recreation in central Serbia.
