*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Mirusha River (Мируша, Lumi i Mirushës) flows through central Kosovo, carving a series of canyons and waterfalls that form one of the most scenic natural areas in the country. Originating from the plains near Klina, it gathers water from surrounding hills and descends into limestone gorges, creating a chain of turquoise pools known as the Mirusha waterfalls. The river’s water temperature remains relatively cool throughout the year due to groundwater springs and shaded canyon walls. In winter, it averages 2–5 °C, rising to 10–14 °C in spring, and peaking around 18–22 °C during July and August.
Swimming in the Mirusha River is allowed and even popular in the natural basins beneath the waterfalls during summer. The clear and refreshing water attracts both locals and visitors seeking relief from the heat. However, because of the uneven terrain and slippery rocks, swimming requires caution, and deeper pools are preferred for safety. In spring and autumn, lower temperatures and stronger currents make swimming less comfortable. The Mirusha River is primarily valued for its spectacular scenery and as a recreational destination combining swimming, hiking, and nature exploration rather than regular bathing.
