*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Pčinja River flows through southeastern Serbia and northeastern North Macedonia, running through hilly and semi-mountainous terrain before joining the Vardar River. Its water comes mainly from springs and smaller tributaries, which keep it relatively cool throughout the year. In spring, the river’s temperature ranges from 9 to 14 °C, while in summer it reaches 18–23 °C in shallower and calmer stretches. During autumn, it gradually cools to around 12–17 °C, and in winter it can drop below 4 °C, especially in the upper course where frost and ice sometimes occur. The temperature varies depending on altitude and proximity to mountainous sources.
Swimming in the Pčinja River is possible during the warmest months, especially in July and August, when the water reaches its most pleasant levels. In rural areas, locals sometimes use shallow sections for bathing or cooling off, although swimming is not officially organized. Because of variable depth, moderate current, and uneven riverbed, swimming is safest only in known calm areas. The river’s natural beauty and clean water make it suitable for recreation, fishing, and relaxation, offering a peaceful experience in both Serbia and North Macedonia.
