The Kadina River flows through the central part of North Macedonia, joining the Vardar River near Skopje. It originates in the Jakupica mountain range, which gives it a clear and cool character throughout the year. In winter, the water temperature is usually between 2 and 5 °C, while in summer it warms up to 18–22 °C, depending on the weather and altitude. The river’s flow varies seasonally, with stronger currents during spring snowmelt and lower levels in late summer. Swimming in the Kadina River is allowed but not widely practiced, as the current can be unpredictable and the water remains relatively cold even in July and August.
