*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Radoinja Lake, located in southwestern Serbia near the town of Nova Varoš, is an artificial reservoir on the Uvac River, surrounded by steep hills and unspoiled nature. The lake lies at an altitude of around 900 meters, which keeps its water relatively cool throughout the year. In spring, the temperature ranges from 8 to 13 °C, while in summer it usually reaches 18–22 °C in shallower areas. During autumn, the water cools again to 12–16 °C, and in winter it drops below 4 °C, with occasional ice forming near the shores. These moderate to low temperatures reflect the mountain climate and the inflow of cold river water.
Swimming in Radoinja Lake is possible but not officially organized. It is most comfortable during July and August when the water reaches its warmest levels, though still cooler than in lowland lakes. The clear and clean water attracts visitors for short swims, kayaking, and relaxation by the shore. However, due to depth, cold currents, and varying underwater terrain, caution is advised. The lake’s peaceful surroundings and pristine environment make it more suited for nature tourism and scenic recreation than for typical swimming activities.
