Lake Međuvršje is an artificial reservoir located in the stunning Ovčar-Kablar Gorge in Western Serbia, created on the West Morava river. The lake is a popular destination for recreation and fishing, and swimming is generally allowed during the summer months, though primarily at unorganized spots rather than officially supervised beaches. Visitors are often advised to use caution, as the lake, being a reservoir fed by a river, may experience currents, and there are typically no public lifeguards on duty.
The water temperature of Lake Međuvršje varies significantly with the seasons. In the winter, from approximately December to March, the temperature is very cold, usually ranging between 4∘C and 10∘C. During the peak of the summer, particularly in July and August, the water warms up to comfortable levels for swimming, typically in the range of 20∘C to 24∘C.
