Location & Local Information
The Reka River is one of the most distinctive rivers in Slovenia, flowing through the karst region and disappearing underground into the famous Škocjan Caves. Its waters are influenced by rainfall and karst springs, which means the temperature can vary, but it generally stays on the cooler side, often between 12°C and 18°C during the warmer months. Because of this, swimming in the river is refreshing but rarely becomes a widespread activity.
