*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Natisone River, known as Nadiža in Slovenia, flows along the border between Slovenia and Italy, winding through picturesque valleys and limestone landscapes. Being a mountain river, its water is generally cool throughout the year. In the warmest summer months, from June to August, surface temperatures in calmer, shallow areas can reach 18–22°C, while faster and deeper sections remain around 12–16°C. In spring and autumn, the water is usually between 10–14°C, and in winter it can drop to 4–6°C.
Swimming in the Natisone is possible mainly in calm pools and slower sections, which are favored by locals during hot days. The river offers a refreshing escape from the heat, though caution is needed in areas with stronger currents. Its clear water and scenic surroundings also make it popular for activities like kayaking, wading, and short river hikes.
Outside of summer, swimming is less common due to cooler water and faster currents, but the river remains an attractive spot for walking, picnics, and enjoying nature. Even a brief summer dip can be invigorating, providing relief on warm days.
