*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Radonjić Lake (Liqeni i Radoniqit / Радоњићко језеро) is a large artificial lake located in western Kosovo, primarily constructed as a major reservoir for irrigation and drinking water supply in the Dukagjin plain. As a deep reservoir with a substantial volume, its water temperature maintains a relatively low average, typical of drinking water sources. During the cold season, the lake's surface temperature is near freezing, usually ranging from 4∘C to 8∘C. In the warmest summer months, the surface water may stratify and warm up to a maximum of 20∘C to 23∘C in the shallowest areas, but the deeper body of water remains cool.
Swimming in Radonjić Lake is prohibited and strongly advised against by local authorities. The lake's principal function is providing raw water for human consumption, and allowing recreational activities such as swimming and unauthorized boating would introduce a significant risk of pollution and contamination, potentially compromising public health. The ban is a measure to protect the quality of the water supply for the region. Despite the official restrictions, informal and risk-taking swimming activity may sometimes occur during periods of extreme summer heat, but it is done without official sanction and poses hygiene risks.
