*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Svyatoshinskii Stavki (Svyatoshyn Ponds) are a group of reservoirs in the Sviatoshynskyi district of Kyiv that generally have limited opportunities for mass swimming. Like many small, artificial ponds within the city, their water temperature is entirely dependent on weather conditions. The comfortable swimming season here, as across the capital, starts when the water consistently warms up above +17 or +18∘C, which usually happens in early summer. During the peak heat in July and August, the water can reach a pleasant +22 to +24∘C.
However, despite the water warming up in the hotter months, most reservoirs in this system are not recommended for swimming by city authorities. This is because they often do not meet the necessary sanitary standards for mass recreation or are primarily used as no swimming rest areas. For instance, some ponds on the Nyvka River in this district are listed as places where you can relax by the water, but entering the water is discouraged. Therefore, while the natural warming of the water makes swimming possible in terms of temperature, official restrictions and the lack of water quality control significantly reduce the safety and availability of swimming at Svyatoshinskii Stavki.
