Horashchykha Pond, located in the Pushcha-Vodytsia area of Kyiv, is one of several small forest lakes surrounded by pine trees and quiet walking paths. The pond is relatively shallow, which allows the water to warm up quickly in late spring. By early summer, temperatures often reach around 22–24°C, and during the hottest July weeks the water can rise to about 26°C. Its calm surface and soft bottom make it comfortable for swimming, especially on windless, sunny days.
Locals and visitors from Kyiv often come to Horashchykha Pond to cool off, sunbathe, or simply enjoy the forest air. The water is usually clear enough for bathing, particularly when there hasn’t been recent rainfall. Although it’s not an official beach with full facilities, the natural setting of the pond — clean water, tall pines, and peaceful surroundings — makes it one of the coziest summer spots in Pushcha-Vodytsia.
