Lake Hlibka (Deep Lake) in the Zhytomyr region is a typical forest body of water for Polissia, known for its relative cleanliness and its significant depth, as its name suggests. Due to this depth and its location amidst forests, the water temperature in the lake warms up more slowly than in shallow ponds and tends to remain cooler. At the peak of the summer season, in July and August, the surface layer may heat up to +21 to +23∘C, which is quite acceptable for a refreshing swim but not overly warm for a long stay in the water.
