*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Buymer Quarry (often referred to as the Sand Quarry) in the Zhytomyr region is a popular recreational area. Like most water-filled quarries, it is characterized by significant depth, which affects its hydrothermal regime. Despite this, in the summer, due to solar activity and the fact that the quarry is located in an open area, the water temperature on the surface warms up to values quite comfortable for swimming. Typically, in July and August, the water in the upper layers reaches +22 to +25∘C. However, it is important to remember that the deeper layers remain significantly colder, which is characteristic of such bodies of water.
Swimming opportunities at Buymer Quarry are highly sought after. Although it may not hold the status of an official beach with all the necessary infrastructure (lifeguard posts, medical station), it functions as a place for mass recreation. Its appeal lies in the relatively clear water and the sandy shores left after the extraction process. However, due to the considerable depth, sharp drop-offs on the bottom, and the lack of constant supervision, swimming here requires increased caution, especially for those who are not strong swimmers.
The quarry offers a natural, yet 'wild,' holiday experience. Its warm surface water and sandy shoreline provide excellent conditions for summer leisure, but everyone who chooses to swim here assumes personal responsibility for their safety.
