*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Korostyshivsky Canyon is essentially a flooded granite quarry near the town of Korostyshiv (Zhytomyr region), famous for its high rocky shores and crystal-clear, emerald-green water. Like most deep quarries, the water temperature here is variable. On the surface, especially during calm and sunny weather in July and August, the water can warm up to a quite comfortable +22 to +24∘C, which attracts numerous vacationers. However, it must be noted that just a few meters deep, the temperature drops sharply, as the quarry has great depth, requiring caution.
Swimming opportunities at Korostyshivsky Canyon are very popular, despite its wild status. There are small sandy areas on the quarry banks that serve as improvised beaches with a gradual entry. The water is considered very clean. However, it is important to be aware that this is not an official municipal swimming spot: there are no lifeguards or medical facilities, and the bottom is uneven with sharp drop-offs that can reach over 20 meters.
It is precisely this element of danger, combined with the picturesque landscape (high granite cliffs and pine forest), that makes the Canyon extremely appealing but simultaneously requires visitors to exercise maximum caution. Swimming is allowed here, but it is done entirely at one's own risk.
