Lake Chorne, located near the village of Petrushky just outside Kyiv, is a small and quiet body of water surrounded by fields and patches of forest. The lake is relatively shallow, which allows it to warm up quickly in late spring and early summer. By mid-June, the water temperature typically reaches 22–24°C, and in July and August it can rise to around 26°C on warm, sunny days. The calm surface and soft, sandy bottom make the lake comfortable for swimming, especially near the gentle, accessible shores.
Locals often visit Lake Chorne for relaxation, swimming, and fishing. The water is usually clean and still, particularly when there hasn’t been much rainfall.
