*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Korostyshivsky Quarry in the Zhytomyr region is a popular and picturesque body of water formed on the site of a former granite quarry. The flooded quarry bowl is significantly deep, but despite this, the water temperature during the summer period is often very comfortable for swimming. Thanks to solar heating and the climate influence, in July and August, the surface layer of the water can warm up to +23 to +26∘C, reaching even higher temperatures on particularly hot days. This makes it one of the warmer quarry lakes in the region.
Swimming opportunities here are very high, as the Korostyshivsky Quarry has become one of the main recreational areas of the Zhytomyr region. The water is generally clean, has an attractive emerald-blue hue, and sandy areas have formed on the banks, serving as improvised beaches. While this location may not always hold the status of an officially equipped beach with a full range of services, it is actively used for relaxation, swimming, and diving.
However, it is important to remember that this is a former quarry, meaning there are sharp changes in depth, and the shoreline may be uneven. Visitors need to exercise maximum caution, especially those swimming for the first time, and always supervise children.
