** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lake Bryagovo (Брягово) in Bulgaria is a small inland reservoir whose water temperature follows the typical continental patterns of the region. In spring, surface temperatures usually rise from about 6–14 °C (43–57 °F) as the ice melts and sun exposure increases. Early summer brings warmer conditions, with averages around 18–22 °C (64–72 °F) in June, while peak summer in July and August can see surface temperatures of roughly 21–26 °C (70–79 °F) on warm days. In autumn the water cools again, commonly falling to 12–18 °C (54–64 °F) in September and October, and in winter surface temperatures often drop toward the freezing point, approximately 0–5 °C (32–41 °F), depending on local weather.
Swimming at Lake Bryagovo is commonly practiced during the warmer months but is not formally supervised in many areas. Because the site is primarily a reservoir rather than an organised beach, there may be no lifeguards, marked swimming zones, or managed water-quality monitoring, so swimming is allowed in a de facto sense but visitors should exercise caution. Potential hazards include sudden depth changes, submerged vegetation or debris, and variable water quality after heavy rains, so local signage and municipal regulations should be checked before entering the water and swimming is safest in groups with appropriate precautions.
