*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Suharekë (Suva Reka / Сува Река) is a municipality in southern Kosovo whose local water bodies, primarily the small rivers and streams, are fed by water coming down from the nearby mountains. These rivers are highly dependent on seasonal rainfall and air temperatures. In winter, the water temperature is very cold, typically ranging from 4∘C to 8∘C due to the cold continental climate. However, the river flow in this area often reduces significantly in the summer, allowing the shallower sections to warm up considerably, with surface water temperatures potentially reaching 20∘C to 24∘C during the warmest part of the season.
Swimming in the rivers and streams around Suharekë is not officially regulated or generally advised. While the warmer summer temperatures might be appealing, the primary concern is the water quality in the lower courses near and within populated areas. These water bodies often receive untreated municipal and agricultural runoff, leading to poor hygienic conditions. Consequently, the lack of designated, monitored swimming areas and the high risk of bacteriological contamination means that any swimming activity is undertaken at the individual's own risk, and local health standards often deem the water unsuitable for safe public bathing.
