*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The West Morava River, one of the main tributaries of the Great Morava in central Serbia, flows through a region with a moderate continental climate, which influences its water temperature throughout the year. During winter, the river is cold, with temperatures between 2–5 °C (36–41 °F), and in some shallow sections, thin ice may appear. In spring, as air temperatures rise, the river warms to about 10–14 °C (50–57 °F). By July and August, the water temperature reaches its peak, typically ranging between 20–24 °C (68–75 °F), though shallower areas can briefly exceed 25 °C (77 °F). By late September, the water cools again below 15 °C (59 °F).
Swimming in the West Morava River is allowed and practiced in several areas, particularly near towns such as Čačak and Trstenik, where local swimming spots are maintained. The water is generally clean enough for bathing during summer, though conditions vary depending on rainfall and local usage. The river’s flow is moderate, so swimmers must remain cautious of currents, especially near bends and deeper stretches. The best swimming conditions occur between June and early September, when temperatures are pleasant and the river provides a refreshing escape from the summer heat.
