*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The river flows through a region with a moderate continental climate, resulting in distinct seasonal changes in water temperature. In spring, the temperature of the West Morava near Čačak ranges from 10 to 15 °C, while in summer it warms to 21–26 °C, sometimes reaching 27 °C in shallower parts. In autumn, the water cools to 13–18 °C, and in winter it drops below 5 °C, occasionally forming thin ice along the riverbanks. The moderate flow and broad riverbed make this section of the river suitable for recreation.
Swimming in the West Morava near Čačak is allowed and quite popular during the warmest months, particularly in July and August. Locals often swim in calm stretches of the river or gather at natural beaches near the city. The water is generally clean enough for recreational bathing, but swimmers should be cautious due to uneven depth and occasional stronger currents. Besides swimming, the river is widely used for fishing, kayaking, and relaxation, providing residents with an accessible natural retreat in the heart of Serbia.
