*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Great Morava River, the largest river entirely within Serbia, flows through the heart of the country and collects water from many tributaries, including the South and West Morava. Its broad valley and moderate continental climate influence the temperature of its waters throughout the year. In spring, the water usually ranges between 11 and 16 °C, while in summer it warms to 21–26 °C, occasionally reaching 27 °C during heatwaves. In autumn, the temperature drops to around 14–18 °C, and in winter it often falls below 5 °C, with ice sometimes forming near the banks. The river’s slow flow in the plains allows for comfortable warming in summer.
Swimming in the Great Morava is possible and popular among locals, especially in July and August when the water becomes pleasantly warm. Although there are no officially organized beaches, people often bathe in calm, shallow stretches where the current is weak. However, due to changes in depth, occasional pollution, and muddy riverbeds, caution is advised. The Great Morava is also used for fishing, boating, and recreation, offering a natural retreat during warm months in central Serbia.
