*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Río Arnoya in Galicia, Spain, typically shows cool to mild temperatures that vary with the season and local conditions. In winter the water commonly sits around 4–9 °C (39–48 °F), spring and autumn temperatures often range from about 10–16 °C (50–61 °F), and in the warmest weeks of summer shallow, sun-exposed pools can warm to roughly 16–22 °C (61–72 °F). These figures are general: actual readings depend on depth, shading, recent rainfall and upstream springs, so smaller pools heat more in summer while deeper or shaded stretches remain noticeably colder.
Swimming in the Río Arnoya is generally possible in calm stretches and at officially recognized bathing spots, where local authorities monitor water quality and access. Many people also swim in informal natural pools, but safety and legality vary: strong currents after heavy rain, hidden underwater obstacles, private property and occasional contamination can make some reaches unsafe or restricted. There are not usually lifeguards, so checking local signage, recent water-quality reports and avoiding risky areas (near dams, weirs or fast-flowing sections) is important before entering the water.
