** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Tsivlou Lake (Λίμνη Τσιβλού), a mountain lake in the Peloponnese, has clear water that remains quite cool for much of the year. Seasonal surface temperatures typically range from about 0–6 °C (32–43 °F) in winter, rising to roughly 6–15 °C (43–59 °F) in spring. In summer the surface can warm to approximately 18–24 °C (64–75 °F) on warmer days, while autumn sees a gradual cooling to around 12–18 °C (54–64 °F). Deeper water stays colder year-round, and temperature can vary with recent weather, inflows, and wind.
Swimming at Tsivlou is possible but not the same as at organized beaches. There are no formal bathing facilities or lifeguards, and local authorities or landowners may sometimes restrict access for safety or conservation reasons, so practices vary. The lake’s cool temperatures outside midsummer, steep or rocky shores, and occasional strong undercurrents or sudden depth changes make bathing best suited to experienced swimmers during the warmest weeks. Visitors should check current local guidance, assess water quality and access points, and take usual safety precautions if choosing to swim.
