*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The artificial Lake of Ladon (Τεχνητή Λίμνη Λάδωνα) in the Peloponnese is a mountain reservoir whose water temperature follows a clear seasonal pattern. In winter the surface typically cools to around 5–10 °C (41–50 °F), while spring warming brings temperatures to roughly 10–16 °C (50–61 °F). Summer surface temperatures can reach approximately 20–26 °C (68–79 °F) on warm days, though deeper water remains much cooler year-round. Autumn sees a gradual decline, with surface values often between 12–18 °C (54–64 °F). Local conditions such as recent rainfall, shading from surrounding hills and the reservoir’s depth can produce significant variation, so measured temperatures at any given spot may differ from these ranges.
Swimming in Lake Ladon is commonly practiced by visitors and locals during the warmer months and is generally possible in many shoreline areas, but it is not managed like a conventional seaside resort. There are no widespread lifeguarded beaches or formal municipal swimming facilities, and some zones near dam structures, intake works or steep banks may be restricted for safety or operational reasons. Water quality is usually good due to mountain inflow, yet seasonal changes, underwater hazards and boat traffic make caution important. Always observe local signage and guidance before entering the water.
