** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lake Lysimachia (Λίμνη Λυσιμαχεία) is a relatively shallow inland lake in western Greece, and its surface temperatures vary noticeably with the seasons. In winter the water typically cools to around 6–12 °C (43–54 °F), spring temperatures usually rise into the 12–20 °C range (54–68 °F), and summer surface readings commonly reach about 22–28 °C (72–82 °F). In autumn temperatures generally fall back to roughly 16–22 °C (61–72 °F). Because the lake is shallow and influenced by local inflows and weather, it warms up quickly in sunny periods and can cool rapidly with cold fronts, so short-term variations are common.
Swimming in Lake Lysimachia is possible in many spots, but it is not a formally managed seaside resort and there are relatively few designated bathing facilities or lifeguards. Local conditions — such as reed beds, submerged vegetation, seasonal algal growth and occasional agricultural runoff — affect water clarity and quality, so authorities or local signs should be checked before entering. In practice people do bathe there during the warm months when temperatures are more comfortable, but caution and awareness of water quality, depth changes and the absence of rescue services are advisable.
