*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lacul Razim (Lacul Razim) is a large, shallow lagoon in south‑east Romania whose surface temperatures change notably with the seasons. In winter the water typically cools to about 0–6 °C (32–43 °F), while spring sees a gradual rise to roughly 6–18 °C (43–64 °F). Summer surface temperatures commonly range from 20–28 °C (68–82 °F), and in particularly warm spells can approach 30 °C (86 °F). During autumn the lake cools again to roughly 10–18 °C (50–64 °F). Because the basin is shallow and influenced by freshwater inflows and occasional connections to the Black Sea, temperatures can vary across the lagoon and between surface and deeper layers.
Swimming in Lacul Razim is possible but not uniformly promoted; informal bathing occurs in summer where access is safe and waters are warmer. The lagoon’s shallow, reed‑filled margins, muddy bottoms, variable salinity and intermittent algal growth mean that many areas are unsuitable for organized beach facilities. Water quality monitoring is patchy, so local authorities sometimes restrict access or warn against swimming in specific spots after heavy rain or algal blooms. Visitors who plan to swim should choose known recreational sections, heed local signs and advisories, and be aware that conditions can change quickly.
