*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lacul Tasaul (Romanian: Lacul Tasaul) is a shallow coastal lagoon in south‑east Romania whose surface waters show pronounced seasonal variation. Because it is shallow and partially sheltered, temperatures rise quickly in summer and fall rapidly in cooler months. Typical seasonal surface temperatures range roughly from 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) in winter, 6–15 °C (43–59 °F) in spring, 18–28 °C (64–82 °F) in summer, and 8–16 °C (46–61 °F) in autumn. Local weather, wind, and freshwater inflows affect these values, and shallow pockets can warm above the averages on sunny days while deeper channels remain cooler.
Swimming is not widely promoted at Lacul Tasaul the way it is at nearby Black Sea beaches. There is no universal ban, but recreational bathing is often limited by shallow, muddy bottoms, extensive vegetation, and occasional algal blooms or reduced water quality, which lead authorities or locals to advise caution at certain times and places. Where access is easy and the water appears clear in summer, people do swim, but prospective visitors should check current local advisories, avoid areas with heavy reed growth or discolored water, and be mindful of slippery banks and uneven substrate.
