*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Rama Lake (Ramsko jezero) is a large, deep artificial reservoir in Bosnia and Herzegovina, created on the Rama River for hydro-power generation. Due to its size, depth (up to 100 m), and feeding by cold springs, the lake’s overall average temperature is quite low, around 7.5∘C annually. However, seasonal variations are pronounced: in winter, the water is very cold, ranging from about 4∘C to 8∘C with occasional icing near the shore. During the summer, the shallow surface layer warms up significantly, typically reaching pleasant swimming temperatures of 22∘C to 25∘C in July and August.
Swimming in Rama Lake is permitted and a popular recreational activity during the summer months, especially in the shallower bays and areas like Šćit. The clear, clean water and surrounding natural beauty make it an attractive spot for both locals and visitors. Although there are no official, supervised public beaches as found on the coast, the generally calm nature and comfortable surface temperatures of the water in designated recreational areas make it a safe option for cooling off, provided swimmers exercise caution regarding the deep water and varied shoreline.
