Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Mohylivskyi Karier (or the Blue Lake in Mohylivka) is a flooded granite quarry in the Vinnytsia Oblast that has gained significant popularity as a recreational area. Due to its considerable depth (up to 64 meters in the deepest points) and the mineralogical composition of the rocks, the water is characterized by incredible transparency and a distinctive turquoise or blue hue, leading to its nickname Vinnytsia Hawaii. During the summer months, despite the overall depth, the surface layers of the water warm up to temperatures comfortable for swimming, typically reaching +21 to +23∘C in July and August, although the deeper layers remain significantly cooler.
Swimming opportunities at the Mohylivskyi Karier are well-developed, as it operates as an equipped paid beach. Its shores feature imported white sand, parking, restrooms, gazebos, and camping areas. Access to the water is arranged at several beaches, one of which has a sandy entry, while others may have clay or stony access. Due to its transparency, the water allows the bottom to be visible up to a depth of two meters.
Despite the infrastructure, it is crucial to remember that this is a flooded quarry with extreme depths. This poses potential risks associated with sudden changes in depth and the possibility of cold currents from the deeper water, demanding particularly careful attention to swimming safety.
