*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Hubnytskyi Karier (Hubnyk Quarry) in the Vinnytsia Oblast, located near Ladyzhyn, is one of the region's most famous flooded granite quarries, often dubbed the Ukrainian Baikal or an oasis due to its incredibly clear, turquoise water and picturesque rocky shores. The reservoir is fed by underground springs, ensuring its exceptional purity. However, this feature also makes the water quite cool. Even in the peak of summer, when surface layers might warm up to +20 – +22∘C, the deep-water temperature drops sharply, posing a risk of hypothermia due to the significant depth, which divers have reported exceeding 50 meters.
Swimming opportunities at the Hubnytskyi Karier are actively utilized by tourists, despite its wild and undeveloped nature. While official infrastructure (rescue posts, equipped beaches) is generally absent, the location attracts enthusiasts of wild recreation, diving, and camping. There are only a few gently sloped entry points to the water among the steep, rocky banks. It is vital to recognize that swimming in this quarry is highly risky due to the uneven bottom, rocky ledges, extreme depth, and sudden temperature changes, which has been sadly confirmed by tragic incidents.
Therefore, the Hubnytskyi Karier is a true natural gem for landscape lovers and adventure tourists, but it demands exceptional caution. Swimming here should only be done in the safest spots and only by individuals confident in their abilities.
