Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Polove Quarry (Kar'yer Polove) in the Vinnytsia Oblast is a flooded granite excavation site that has transformed into a picturesque recreational area. Similar to other flooded quarries, the water here is characterized by high transparency as it is fed by underground springs. Regarding temperature, despite the depth, the surface layers of the water in the summer months (July-August) warm up to indicators that are quite comfortable for swimming, approximately from +20 to +23∘C. However, as in all deep quarries, one should expect a sharp drop in temperature at depth, which poses a risk of hypothermia.
Swimming opportunities at the Polove Quarry exist, and the location attracts visitors due to its clear water. Nevertheless, it is crucial to distinguish between active and inactive quarries. If the quarry is still operational, access to the reservoir may be restricted, and swimming is generally forbidden for safety reasons. Even if the site is used for recreation, it is typically not an officially equipped area, so visitors must exercise extreme caution.
In summary, the Polove Quarry offers scenic views and clean, cool water, making it appealing in hot weather. However, swimming here demands great care due to natural features (depth, rocky bottom) and potential restrictions related to its status.
