*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lake Sărat (Romanian: Lacul Sărat) in south‑east Romania is a shallow, saline lake whose water temperature varies noticeably by season. In summer the surface commonly warms to about 22–30 °C (72–86 °F), often feeling warmer than nearby freshwater bodies because of its shallowness and salt content. Spring and autumn temperatures usually range from 10–18 °C (50–64 °F), while winter values can fall toward freezing, roughly 0–6 °C (32–43 °F); the elevated salinity sometimes prevents complete ice cover, so the lake can remain partially unfrozen even in cold spells.
Swimming is generally permitted in designated bathing areas and the lake is a traditional spot for summer recreation and therapeutic bathing due to its buoyant, mineral‑rich water and local muds. Access can be limited or regulated for safety, public health or environmental reasons, so visitors should follow posted rules and any lifeguard instructions. High salinity may irritate eyes and sensitive skin and can affect equipment, so rinsing after a swim is advisable. In short, Lacul Sărat offers pleasant swimming opportunities mainly in the warmer months, with seasonal restrictions or cautions applied as needed.
