*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lake Cirma (Cirma ezers) is a small inland lake in Latvia whose water temperature follows the regional seasonal cycle. In spring the surface usually warms from near-freezing to roughly 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) as ice melts and air temperatures rise. During summer the lake commonly reaches its warmest values, often around 16–24 °C (61–75 °F) on average, though shallow bays can warm a few degrees higher on hot spells. In autumn the water cools back to roughly 6–15 °C (43–59 °F) before the onset of winter, when the lake approaches 0 °C (32 °F) and may freeze over for extended periods.
Recreational swimming is generally possible in the warmer months because summer temperatures are pleasant for bathing and the lake has public access, but local conditions determine safety. Water quality, underwater vegetation, weather and the presence or absence of lifeguards or signage should be checked before entering. Swimming through ice-free summer months is the normal recreational option, whereas winter bathing is only advisable for experienced ice swimmers with appropriate safety measures. Always follow any posted rules or local guidance about bathing to ensure a safe visit.
