*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Vinica is a small town in eastern North Macedonia, located on the banks of the Bregalnica River, one of the main tributaries of the Vardar. The river flows through a hilly region with a moderate continental climate, leading to clear seasonal changes in water temperature. In winter, the Bregalnica cools to around 2–5 °C, while in spring it gradually warms to 12–16 °C. During summer, especially in July and August, the water temperature reaches 20–24 °C in the lower sections near Vinica. The river’s clean flow and green surroundings create a calm and refreshing natural setting.
Swimming in the Bregalnica near Vinica is allowed but not very common. The river is shallow in most places, which makes it more suitable for wading or cooling off rather than full swimming. Locals often visit its banks for relaxation, fishing, and picnicking, especially during warm summer days. The combination of fresh water, pleasant air, and peaceful countryside makes the area attractive for light recreation. The Bregalnica remains one of the most important natural features of Vinica, giving life and charm to the eastern landscape of North Macedonia.
