Kriva Palanka is a mountain town in northeastern North Macedonia, situated along the banks of the Kriva River, which flows from the Osogovo Mountains. The river has a typical mountain character, with clear, cool water that reflects the freshness of its natural surroundings. In winter, the temperature of the Kriva River drops to around 2–5 °C, while in spring it slowly rises with snowmelt. During summer, the water reaches 16–20 °C, depending on the weather and altitude.
