*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lipkovo is a village and municipality in the northeastern part of North Macedonia, located near the Kumanovska River, which flows through the surrounding valleys before joining the Pčinja River. The Kumanovska has a moderate continental character, with clear water that varies in temperature depending on the season. During winter, the river cools to around 2–5 °C, while in summer it warms to 19–23 °C in shallower sections. The river’s flow depends largely on rainfall and snowmelt, which keeps the water relatively fresh even during hot periods. Its calm banks and green surroundings make it a pleasant part of the local landscape.
Swimming in the Kumanovska River near Lipkovo is allowed but not very common, as the river is narrow and shallow in most places. Locals sometimes cool off during July and August when the water reaches its warmest temperatures. However, because the flow and depth can change quickly, caution is advised. More often, the river area is used for relaxation, fishing, and picnicking. Together with nearby Lipkovo Lake, it forms a natural setting that reflects the peaceful rural environment of northeastern North Macedonia.
