** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Zadorra (Spanish: Río Zadorra) flows through Álava in the Basque Country and shows marked seasonal variation in water temperature depending on flow, depth and the presence of reservoirs. In winter the river commonly cools to roughly 4–8 °C (39–46 °F), while spring brings a gradual rise to around 8–15 °C (46–59 °F). Peak summer temperatures in slow-moving stretches and reservoirs can reach about 16–24 °C (61–75 °F), and autumn typically sees a decline to roughly 10–16 °C (50–61 °F). Local factors such as shading, recent rainfall, and releases from upstream reservoirs can cause significant short-term fluctuations from these averages.
Swimming in the Zadorra is permitted in some designated recreational areas but is restricted or discouraged in others. Sections that serve as drinking-water reservoirs, areas near dam infrastructure, or narrow fast-flowing channels are often closed to bathing for reasons of public safety and to protect water quality. Where local municipalities or park authorities authorize access, supervised or marked spots may be used for swimming and other water sports; elsewhere signage and regulations should be checked because currents, submerged obstacles and variable water quality can make unsanctioned swimming unsafe.
