** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The small urban stream known locally as Përroi i Lanës runs through Tirana County and exhibits noticeable seasonal variation in water temperature because of its shallow, channelized character and exposure to urban heat and runoff. Typical winter temperatures are around 4–8 °C (39–46 °F), spring sees roughly 8–15 °C (46–59 °F), summer averages are commonly 18–26 °C (64–79 °F) with occasional warm shallow stretches reaching the upper 20s °C (around 80–82 °F), and autumn temperatures usually fall between 10–18 °C (50–64 °F). These values can vary locally depending on recent rainfall, upstream flow, and shading from vegetation or buildings, and the river responds relatively quickly to weather swings because of its limited depth and flow.
Swimming in the Lanë is generally not allowed or recommended for public health and safety reasons. Much of the channel passes through dense urban areas, where water quality is affected by runoff, occasional sewage inputs and limited natural purification, and the banks are often reinforced or narrow, making safe access difficult. Local authorities have in the past restricted recreational use for these reasons, though community clean‑up efforts and water management can produce localized improvements; nonetheless, formal bathing sites with monitored water quality are a safer alternative.
