** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Erzen River (Lumi i Erzenit) runs through Tirana County and experiences noticeable seasonal shifts in water temperature. In winter months the river commonly cools to around 6–10 °C (43–50 °F). Spring sees a gradual rise, typically to 10–16 °C (50–61 °F) as air temperatures warm and snowmelt and rainfall alter flows. During summer the most comfortable temperatures occur, often between 18–26 °C (64–79 °F) in calmer stretches, though shallow, sun-exposed pools can reach the upper end of that range. In autumn the water usually falls back into the 12–18 °C (54–64 °F) band as air temperatures drop and flows increase.
Swimming in the Erzen is possible in certain locations and is commonly done informally in summer when water is warmest, but it is not universally regulated or supervised. Authorities do not maintain lifeguarded public bathing areas along most of the river, and water quality can vary: upstream, less-developed reaches tend to be clearer, while sections nearer urban and industrial areas may carry pollutants or debris. Currents can also be unpredictable after rains. For those considering swimming, seasonal temperature comfort, local water quality reports, signage and the absence of safety services should be taken into account before entering the water.
