** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Seman River (Albanian: Lumi i Semanit) in Fier County is a lowland watercourse whose temperatures vary with the Mediterranean-climate seasons and local flow conditions. In winter the river typically runs cool, roughly 6–10 °C (43–50 °F) in calmer stretches, while spring brings warming and more variability, roughly 10–18 °C (50–64 °F) as snowmelt and rains influence flow. Summer is when the river reaches its warmest shallow reaches, commonly 20–26 °C (68–79 °F) in late July and August, though deeper channels and shaded pools remain several degrees cooler. In autumn temperatures usually fall into an intermediate band around 14–20 °C (57–68 °F) as air temperatures decline and river discharge rises with seasonal rains.
Swimming in the Seman is possible in some places, particularly in slow, shallow sections and near the delta where currents are mild and summer temperatures become pleasant. However it is not uniformly regulated or developed for recreational bathing: water quality can be affected by agricultural runoff, occasional industrial discharges, and turbidity after storms, and stronger currents or debris make other stretches unsafe. Locals often swim when conditions are calm and clear in summer, but visitors should assess flow, visibility and recent weather, and prefer designated or well-known safe spots rather than entering the river indiscriminately.
